About the role
Our mission at Hope into Action is to enable the local church to house the homeless and we’re looking for a Finance and Maintenance Administrator to join our team in Portsmouth.
The role is based at our office in Portsmouth working with the Portsmouth team in partnership with local churches in supporting and empowering tenants in our homes in Portsmouth and the surrounding area. Our homes comprise of single male tenants or single female tenants or families, all of whom have experienced homelessness.
Your role will be as the general office coordinator for the Portsmouth team providing support in day-to-day administration of tenant finances and files and leading on the administration of maintenance for the Portsmouth houses.
You will need to have a flexible approach to working outside of the normal 9-5 for occasional maintenance issues or weekend and evening events.
About you
For this role, you would be someone with a passion for the homeless and our values, who is able to work with all our partners. The ability to work in a flexible team and learn new skills is important as we foster working within a strong supportive team. As a key role within Hope into Action you must demonstrate your sympathy with the Christian faith and the mission and values of the organisation.
